I have been making and creating as long as I can remember. As a girl I had a favorite Aunt who was an Artist in California and almost every birthday and Christmas, I would receive artist tools and books. I would later go to school for graphic design to further my interest in the creative world.

Later, I became a mother of four beautiful children and found my calling as a stay at home mother. Through the years I found myself searching for a creative outlet. During this time I took several lessons in cake decorating from a trained pastry chef (Tom Carmichael of Altoona, Iowa) and found that I had a hidden talent. I soon found myself making and creating wedding cakes for Tom and for several years worked as his affiliate.

Since then, my once hobby has become a dream come true with Buttercream Bella Cake Decorating Workshops. Creating gorgeous wedding cakes is a challenge in creativity as well as design.

I’m most passionate about sharing what I learn from my career as a wedding cake designer. Everything that I glean from my experience is poured out onto my students.

My portfolio has grown through the years, as well as my desire to teach what I know. I am sure that you and your friends will be thrilled with the quality of your instruction and the surprising ability at which you make your very own cake creations.
